Will the Potara Prevail?!

Goku Arrives

Before teleporting, Goku asks Old Kai if they should be Super Saiyans first. The old man says no; they can transform afterward, and the stress of fusing while transformed would shorten their lifespan. He also mentions the Potara can only be used once per lifetime, then shares how an ugly old witch once stole one of his earrings and fused with a former Supreme Kai, explaining his unusual abilities. Kibito Kai cuts the story short, and Goku teleports to Earth.

On the battlefield, Buu charges an enormous attack. Mr. Satan squeezes his eyes shut, fires his pistol, and apologizes to Buu. Goku appears behind Buu and hurls a Destructo Disc that slices the monster in half and severs his forelock. Gohan is stunned to see his father alive. Mr. Satan opens his eyes and takes credit for the damage.

The Fumbled Earring

Buu's upper body recognizes Goku. Goku announces he brought a power-up item this time. Buu's detached lower half springs up behind Tien and kicks him unconscious. The halves rejoin, and Buu sneers that another expert proved worthless. Goku shouts to Gohan and tosses the Potara, but Gohan fails to catch it. The earring bounces into a crevice between rocks. Goku tells him to find it and put it on his right ear. Buu charges at Goku, who transforms into Super Saiyan 3 to stall.

A Cruel Reversal

Buu halts mid-charge as Gohan finds the earring. His body shifts, resembling Piccolo: the Gotenks fusion inside him expired. Goku powers down, confident Gohan alone can now win. But Buu smirks and points to the severed forelock he never reattached. The chunk morphs into a blob and engulfs Gohan. The earring drops. Goku dives and snatches it as Buu transforms again, now wearing Gohan's gi. Goku scans for a partner: Tien is down, Dende cannot fight. The only one standing is Mr. Satan.
