The Original Majin

Goku senses something deeply wrong as Buu's transformation continues. On the Sacred World, Kibito Kai trembles with recognition. When the screaming stops, the towering monster has been replaced by a small, childlike figure with blank, pitiless eyes. Goku and Vegeta dismiss the runt, but Kibito Kai is horrified.

Old Kai demands an explanation. Kibito Kai recounts the grim history: five Supreme Kais once guarded the universe until Bibidi created Majin Buu. North and West Supreme Kai were killed. South Supreme Kai, the mightiest, was absorbed. Grand Supreme Kai, gentle and rotund, was absorbed next, softening Buu enough for Bibidi to control him. What stands now is the original creature stripped of every influence: pure evil, no self-control, no mercy.

The Earth Falls

Kid Buu lets out a piercing shriek, then falls silent, grins, and fires a blast at the planet. Vegeta knocks it off course just in time. Goku notes Buu can regenerate from fragments, so self-destruction means nothing to him. Vegeta shouts at Buu to fight them, but the Majin ignores him and raises an enormous energy sphere overhead, far too large to deflect. Old Kai urges Kibito Kai to deliver Potara earrings to them.

No Time Left

Goku prepares Instant Transmission and grabs Dende, Mr. Satan, and the puppy, but cannot reach Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks, and Goten. Kibito Kai materializes and seizes their hands. The Earth explodes. They arrive on the Sacred World with Goku, Vegeta, Dende, Mr. Satan, and the puppy. Goku is devastated that Gohan and the others perished. Mr. Satan wonders if this is Heaven. Vegeta rounds on Goku with fury, demanding to know why he saved a fool and a dog over their sons.
