Vegeta steps in to buy Goku time, transforming into Super Saiyan 2 and launching a ferocious assault on Kid Buu. The Majin quickly overwhelms the prince with blinding speed and brutal power. Just as Buu is about to finish Vegeta, Mr. Satan charges in with a delusional challenge. Buu swings and misses, then suddenly freezes, clutching his head in agony.
Goku warns Vegeta that dying again as a dead man carries a permanent consequence: his soul and body will cease to exist entirely, erased from both the living realm and the afterlife. Vegeta absorbs the warning without flinching, ascends to Super Saiyan 2, and rockets toward Kid Buu. He opens with a blast that shears Buu in half, then follows with a relentless barrage of energy attacks. Goku is encouraged, thinking Vegeta can hold out for the minute he needs.
The optimism is short-lived. While Vegeta is still firing, Buu regenerates behind him and hammers the prince into the ground. Blood trickles down Vegeta's face, but there is no time to recover. Buu kicks him skyward, then meets him with a punch, another punch, a headbutt, and a sustained beating. Vegeta can barely comprehend that Goku traded blows with this monster for so long. More than a minute has passed, yet Goku still cannot muster enough ki. Buu extends his arm like rubber and wraps it around Vegeta's throat. The prince chokes, unable to break free.
Mr. Satan suddenly stands from behind a rock and shouts at Buu, delivering a grandiose speech about being the World Martial Arts Champion. Buu drops Vegeta and charges at the posturing human. Despite believing this is a dream, genuine terror floods Satan's face. He ducks and covers, and Buu's attack sails over him. Goku is quietly impressed. Buu then halts. His expression twists into pain as he grabs his own head and staggers, something deep inside tearing itself apart. Mr. Satan, seeing the distress, assumes Buu is terrified and breaks into triumphant laughter.
