Recruiting the First Wave

Mr. Satan boasts about defeating Cell on a talk show while Krillin and Android 18 watch from home. Goku drops in and explains the Tournament of Power, omitting the erasure stakes. Krillin agrees despite being out of shape, but Android 18 refuses until Goku mentions a ten-million-zeni prize. She relents and tells him Android 17 works at a wildlife sanctuary. Krillin suggests asking Dende for help finding it.

At the Lookout, Dende sends the platform flying toward the southern islands where 17 lives. During the flight, he explains that removing the bomb inside 17 allowed his humanity to resurface. He also points out a village below, home to a boy named Uub, the reincarnation of Kid Buu, and urges Goku to train him someday. Goku commits the name to memory.

Finding Android 17

The island is overrun with monsters. Goku realizes he has never seen Android 17's face and mistakes a poacher for him. The real 17 arrives and dismantles the poachers, then attacks the masked stranger. The two spar through Super Saiyan 2 and Super Saiyan 3 before Goku identifies himself. After clearing the poachers together, Goku explains the tournament. Android 17 refuses at first, unwilling to leave the island unguarded. When the truth about erasure emerges, he agrees, partly out of gratitude toward Krillin. His wish for the Super Dragon Balls: a luxury cruise ship worth five billion zeni.

A Problem and a Plan

Mr. Satan reports that Buu has entered his yearly hibernation. At Capsule Corporation, Beerus, Whis, Shin, and Vegeta settle on Gohan as the replacement, provided he can recover his fighting edge. Goku rushes to Piccolo, who demands Senzu Beans and declares he will train Gohan personally.
