Battles Abound

Manga ChapterCh. 57

Earth becomes the front line as Moro's escaped convicts scatter across the planet. Krillin outsmarts Yunba, Tien and Chiaotzu exploit a Metalman's weakness, and Roshi blindfolds himself to survive a deadly trio of women. But when Moro lands and empowers Saganbo, the defenders are hopelessly outmatched until Goku arrives via Instant Transmission.

Scattered Skirmishes

Bulma sets up drone-linked monitors on the Lookout so Chi-Chi and the others can follow the battles below. On the ground, Krillin faces Yunba. His Destructo Disc Hexa Blades fail to connect because Yunba spins his massive body at blinding speed to deflect them. After taking a heavy beating, Krillin uses an Afterimage feint and materializes behind the off-guard Yunba, putting him down for good with a point-blank Kamehameha. The Galactic Patrol hauls the unconscious prisoner away immediately.

Krillin rushes to help Master Roshi, who admits the three female convicts are difficult for reasons not entirely combat-related. Krillin urges Roshi to tap the power he showed against Jiren, but Roshi says his mind is too clouded. Elsewhere, Tien and Chiaotzu face Quoitur, a Metalman whose hardened body shrugs off physical attacks. Recalling Vegeta's old fight with Magetta, Chiaotzu delivers a cutting insult that crumples the Metalman on the spot. Roshi ties a bandanna over his eyes and fights by instinct alone, but the three women fuse into a single hulking warrior and swat both Krillin and Roshi aside with a single blow.

Moro Descends

Saganbo's ship descends as Moro arrives on the battlefield. Android 17 nearly finishes Seven-Three, but Moro intervenes, reclaims him for later use, and orders Shimorekka to aid his recovery. After receiving a direct energy infusion from Moro, Saganbo batters Android 17, Gohan, and the others with terrifying ease. Tien, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu regroup but fare no better against Zauyogi, the Brigade's staff officer. Krillin and Roshi, still hiding from the fused convict, decide they would rather go down swinging.

Goku's Return

Hurtling through space, Goku senses the chaotic battles on Earth and locks onto a sudden spike in Krillin's energy to perform Instant Transmission. He materializes just in time, dropping the fused convict with a single punch and apologizing to Krillin for cutting it so close.
