The Universe's Greatest Warrior

Manga ChapterCh. 70

Toronbo grants Granolah's wish at a devastating cost: nearly his entire remaining lifespan, leaving him just three years to live. The Heeters refuse to let Granolah topple Frieza and devise a scheme to pit him against Goku and Vegeta instead. On Beerus's planet, both Saiyans continue training, unaware of the collision course ahead.

A Wish with a Price

Granolah asks Toronbo to make him the greatest warrior in the universe. The dragon reveals the wish cannot be granted simply; pushing beyond his latent potential requires accepting a specific condition. Driven by his obsession with defeating Frieza, Granolah accepts without hesitation. On Beerus's planet, Vegeta practices Hakai but keeps destroying targets with ordinary blasts. Beerus corrects his form, demonstrating the proper method and accidentally damaging his own comic book. Goku and Whis spar nearby and discuss which Saiyan will become strongest. Whis suggests neither may claim that title. The Oracle Fish awakens and proclaims the strongest warrior will soon rise. Vegeta demonstrates Hakai on a pebble and vows to scale up.

The Cost of Power

After Toronbo departs, Granolah stands alone with hair grown past his shoulders. He tests his newfound strength, producing shockwaves that reach Monaito's home. The elderly Namekian rushes over and condemns what Granolah has done, but the Cerealian ignores him and flies off to demand Frieza's location from Elec. Aboard his ship, Granolah trims his hair while Whis watches through his staff and senses turmoil ahead.

Confrontation at the Base

Two days later, Granolah storms the Heeters' base. He sends Oil flying with a fraction of his power, then dominates both Oil and Macki without absorbing a hit. Pressed for the source of his strength, Granolah reveals he used the Dragon Balls. He also discloses the devastating cost: he sacrificed most of his remaining lifespan and has only three years left. After Granolah departs, Elec shares his real plan. The Heeters intend to seize the Frieza Force themselves, so Granolah cannot be allowed to kill Frieza. Elec will manipulate Goku and Vegeta into fighting Granolah, exploiting the Cerealian's hatred of Saiyans to eliminate him.
