Bardock's scouter recording reshapes both Saiyans. Goku recovers buried memories and finally grasps the pride of his people, while Vegeta rediscovers the conviction he once carried as the last prince. United by that resolve, they transform into Perfected Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego to face Gas together in a coordinated assault that pushes the awakened Heeter to his limits.
After listening to the recording, the group stands in uneasy silence. Goku recalls more of his parents and realizes that Bardock's return to Planet Vegeta after fighting Gas was part of what prompted Bardock and Gine to send him away. Goku concludes that he finally understands the pride of the Saiyans and admits he lost faith in his own strength. Vegeta, equally reflective, recognizes he lost sight of the burden he once carried, focusing too heavily on atonement. He grudgingly notes it was his rival's father who showed him this, and that Goku and Raditz survived Planet Vegeta's destruction partly because of Bardock's Dragon Ball wish. Monaito observes that a people's pride comes from accepting their nature and holding firm to their convictions.
Gas finally reaches Instant Transmission range of Cereal and teleports outside Monaito's house. The Saiyans emerge with renewed resolve, choosing to fight together while still competing for the finishing blow. They transform into Perfected Ultra Instinct and Ultra Ego and launch a coordinated offensive.
Gas initially dismisses their power, but their teamwork pushes him back. He counterattacks, punching Vegeta and catching Goku with a kick, but the Saiyans press him until he unleashes a massive energy wave. Gas clubs Vegeta from behind with a conjured mace, and Goku struggles alone until Vegeta charges a Beerus Ball. Goku teleports out to help push it forward. Gas begins losing ground, but Elec reasons the wish was made after the Saiyans peaked, so Gas must be stronger. Gas starts pushing back. Vegeta leaps over the rebounding blast to attack directly, but Gas catches him and beats him down brutally. Goku barely deflects the blast from a city and returns as Vegeta lands a furious punch to Gas's face. Vegeta explains that damage is merely fuel for Ultra Ego.
