Trunks struggles to decode a stolen data disc while Mai enrolls at his high school to investigate Dr. Hedo. A handsome transfer student named Baytah turns out to be Beta 1, an android hunting whoever destroyed the Alpha Series. After Goten accidentally reveals his strength, both he and Trunks suit up as Saiyaman X-1 and X-2 for a schoolyard showdown.
At Capsule Corporation, Trunks tries to read the data disc recovered from Dr. Hedo's safe, but a virus corrupts his progress. Bulla repairs the machine, and Bulma announces that Mai has been enrolled at Blue Hal High alongside Trunks to continue their undercover investigation.
At school, a striking transfer student named Baytah arrives alongside Mai. Baytah is secretly Beta 1, an android dispatched by Dr. Hedo to find whoever destroyed his Alpha Series and stole the disc. Mai watches the newcomer closely all day, to Trunks' visible annoyance. During basketball, Baytah displays superhuman speed, but Alpha 12 cannot confirm Trunks as the culprit because the fighter he remembers had blonde hair.
Dr. Hedo orders Beta 1 to flush out the mystery fighter through staged accidents. Trunks dodges every trap without exposing himself. After the final bell, Goten casually lifts a truck with one arm, immediately painting himself as the suspect. Beta 1 attacks Goten and demands the data disc, so Trunks transforms into Saiyaman X-1 and takes over the fight. Cornered, Beta 1 activates a Battle Jacket and fires a missile at nearby students. Trunks catches it and hurls it into a lake.
Mai stumbles and reveals the disc in her bag. Dr. Hedo orders Beta 1 to grab her while launching missiles as a diversion. Goten arrives as Saiyaman X-2 and intercepts every projectile. The Battle Jacket splits: its lower half, a self-aware android called Beta 2, stays behind. Goten dismantles Beta 2 while Trunks shatters Beta 1's remaining armor and catches Mai. Back in his lab, Dr. Hedo vows to build a stronger generation of androids.
