Gohan's first day at Orange Star High School takes a tricky turn when classmate Videl, daughter of Mr. Satan, connects the dots between him and a golden-haired vigilante fighting crime around Satan City. After accidentally revealing his power during a baseball game, Gohan decides to visit Bulma for advice on keeping his identity secret.
Gohan is stunned to learn that Videl is the daughter of Mr. Satan, the man who claimed credit for defeating Cell. Erasa reminds him to be grateful, since Mr. Satan supposedly saved the world. Videl zeroes in on Gohan, recognizing him from a bank robbery scene that morning. She asks whether he knows anything about the so-called Golden Warrior, and Gohan plays dumb.
Erasa explains that the Golden Warrior has stopped criminals three separate times. Gohan realizes they are describing his Super Saiyan form. Videl notes that eyewitness reports describe the warrior wearing an Orange Star High School badge, a black vest over a white shirt, and light tan pants, exactly what Gohan has on. Sharpner dismisses the comparison, pointing out that Gohan has dark hair and seems too scrawny. Videl remains skeptical, remembering old Cell Games footage where fighters turned their hair golden.
Erasa is shocked to learn Gohan commutes from the Eastern 439th District, a five-hour jet ride away. During PE, the class plays baseball. Sharpner bats a towering fly ball, and Gohan leaps impossibly high to catch it. His throw back to third base, despite his attempt to go easy, knocks the fielder several meters backward. When Gohan refuses to swing at his own at-bat, the pitch hits him squarely in the face. He does not flinch at all, leaving Sharpner baffled.
After school, Sharpner tries to recruit Gohan for a boxing club, but Erasa notes he lives too far away. She asks for a ride, and Gohan declines, unable to reveal that he rides the Flying Nimbus. As he leaves the city, Videl tails him, suspicious about his transportation. Gohan spots her and escapes by leaping onto a rooftop before departing on the Nimbus. Reflecting on how difficult city life is, he decides to visit Bulma for help protecting his identity.
