Krillin's zombie investigation and Goten's clash with Beta 7 set the stage for a school dance doubling as a trap. Dr. Hedo sneaks in hoping to meet his idol Cleangod, while Mai plans to ambush the scientist. When chaos erupts, Krillin, Goten, and Trunks pursue Hedo to a hidden lab and face a fearsome Dinodroid.
In the Cricket district, Krillin arrests the mysterious zombies from Butterfly Mountain after finding them loitering in a convenience store. Meanwhile, Goten boards a bus a few stops from school to hide his identity as Saiyaman X-2. On the ride, classmate Fyler asks him to set her up with Trunks for the upcoming dance. Beta 7 appears and calls Goten out; he slips out the back, transforms, and defeats the android easily.
At school, Mai invites Trunks to the dance. She knows Cleangod will perform there and expects Dr. Hedo to show up. Hedo overhears via a tiny insect spybot and builds a female android date so he can attend. Mai spots the spybot, pulls Goten aside, and explains her plan to capture Hedo at the event, admitting her invitation to Trunks was purely tactical.
Mai arrives in a suit of armor; Trunks wears a formal suit and entrusts a bag holding the data disc to an attendant. He and Dr. Hedo bond over their shared admiration for Cleangod before Mai draws a weapon on the doctor. Beta 1 disarms her. Police storm the venue on Mai's tip, but Hedo escapes using a hidden smoke launcher. Beta 1 recovers the disc by snatching guests' bags.
Krillin, Goten, and Trunks give chase by air, with the teenagers now in costume. Krillin reveals that Hedo is Dr. Gero's grandson and that the Red Ribbon Army wants him. At another secret lab, Hedo unleashes Dinodroid 1, a cybernetically enhanced dinosaur far surpassing all previous models. Krillin stuns it with a Destructo Disc to the neck, and the boys go Super Saiyan and finish it with their combined Cyclone Style Tornado Double Hurricane. Hedo is arrested and sentenced to three months for stealing and reanimating corpses. Even in prison, he remains optimistic, plotting with his improved spybot Hachimaru.
