Gamma 2 Strikes

Piccolo recognizes the Red Ribbon insignia on his attacker and quickly deduces that the mysterious figure is an android. Gamma 2 explains that he was originally sent on a basic trial run, but now that Piccolo has seen too much, he decides to kill him on the spot. The two exchange blows, and Piccolo confirms that his opponent is indeed mechanical. Gamma 2 finishes the skirmish by unleashing his signature Gamma Blaster. Confident the Namekian is dead, he departs. In reality, Piccolo narrowly dodged the blast under cover of the dust cloud and follows the android back to the Red Ribbon Army's hidden headquarters.

Infiltrating the Base

Piccolo subdues a guard outside the compound and steals his uniform as a disguise. He makes his way into a control room where Magenta, Carmine, Dr. Hedo, and both Gamma androids are holding a strategy meeting. Gamma 1 reprimands Gamma 2 for failing to verify Piccolo's death, and camera footage confirms the Namekian escaped. Magenta, furious at the blunder, orders Hedo to finish work on Cell Max immediately. Hedo pushes back, insisting that his two Gammas can handle the threat on their own. He warns that Cell Max's control system is still incomplete, meaning the creature could turn on them if activated prematurely.

Scrambling for Reinforcements

Shaken by what he has heard about Cell Max, Piccolo slips away and phones Bulma. He asks whether Goku and Vegeta are available, but they are far away training on Beerus' Planet. Piccolo requests that she contact Whis. While waiting for a callback, he flies to Korin's Tower to stock up on Senzu Beans, but Korin can spare only two. Bulma eventually locates the communicator she needs and tries to reach Whis, but the Angel misses her call. On Beerus' Planet, Goku and Broly are locked in a training match, their shockwaves sending Whis' staff tumbling out of reach. Goku praises Broly's improvements and suggests they raise the intensity, an offer Broly eagerly accepts.

With Earth's strongest fighters unreachable and supplies limited, Piccolo wonders whether Dende might hold the key to the power-up he desperately needs.
