Gohan and Piccolo vs. the Gammas

After a showing of Cleangod 2 at the cinema, Krillin senses Gohan fighting in the distance. Sergeant Nutz confirms the Red Ribbon base lies beneath the lake in the same direction. Krillin heads to scout the area, and Android 18, suspicious of the woman on the phone, insists on coming along.

At the base, Ultimate Gohan presses Gamma 1 and questions the android about the so-called wicked cabal. Gamma 1 claims it refers to Gohan and his allies, prompting Gohan to counter that the Army kidnapped a child, not them. The remark plants doubt in Gamma 1's mind. Dr. Hedo sends Gamma 2 into the fray, but Piccolo intercepts him with his newly unlocked power. A confident Gamma 2 throws a punch and is countered hard.

Doubt and Determination

Piccolo admits internally he still cannot match Gamma 2. After a brutal kick, he regroups with Gohan. They agree to end the fight decisively rather than drag it out against opponents who never tire. Going all out, teacher and pupil send the androids crashing to opposite ends of the compound. Gohan dominates Gamma 1, but Piccolo cannot pin Gamma 2 down. The android nearly blindsides Gohan, then regroups beside Gamma 1. A hesitant Gamma 1 questions whether their targets are truly villains, but Gamma 2 cites Hedo's word and they attack Piccolo together.

Orange Piccolo Awakens

Gohan holds Gamma 1 while Piccolo faces Gamma 2 alone. Charging a Special Beam Cannon, Piccolo tells the android he seems to be following foolish orders rather than acting out of malice. Gamma 2 blocks the attack with an energy barrier, insisting Hedo could never be wrong. Piccolo counters that Magenta's intelligence is what is rotten. Shaken, Gamma 2 unleashes a savage assault that drops Piccolo into a crevice. At the bottom, he recalls Shenron's bonus. A sigil ignites on his back, his skin shifts to deep orange, his antenna stands upright, and his body swells with power. Orange Piccolo has awakened.
