The Final Clash

Gohan fires his Special Beam Cannon directly at Cell Max, who counters with his Explosive Scream. The two beams lock in a fierce power struggle until Goten and Trunks, now defused, rush in and kick Cell Max's arm aside. Gohan's beam tears through Cell Max's energy and drills into the core inside the android's skull.

Cell Max topples, his body expanding as the core destabilizes. Everyone scrambles for cover as the android detonates, leveling most of the area. When the dust settles, no one is harmed.

Aftermath and Farewell

Pan races to hug her father, hesitating briefly at his unfamiliar appearance. Piccolo spots Dr. Hedo clutching the lifeless hand of Gamma 2 and acknowledges they never would have won without both Gammas. Gohan agrees, doubting even Goku or Vegeta could have beaten Cell Max alone. Piccolo reminds him he cannot let his skills rust, then asks about the finishing move. When Gohan says it was the Special Beam Cannon, Piccolo calls the choice brilliant.

Gamma 2's body fades away. A remorseful Hedo confesses that research funding blinded him and offers himself and Gamma 1 to the authorities. Krillin has second thoughts, and Piccolo lets everything be water under the bridge. Hedo asks Bulma for a job at Capsule Corp, and after learning he can engineer skin treatments, she hires him on the spot.

Loose Ends

Pan demonstrates her ability to fly, and Piccolo says training resumes tomorrow. Elsewhere, Carmine and several Red Ribbon soldiers flee the demolished base, with Carmine telling Soldier 15 he plans to return to Red Pharmaceuticals.

On Beerus' Planet, Goku and Vegeta commit to one final exchange after hours of sparring. Vegeta taps Goku's chest first, knocking him down. Goku concedes just before Vegeta collapses from exhaustion. Whis discovers a missed call from Bulma and calls back, asking about a delicacy. She brushes him off with a quick goodbye, leaving him confused.
