Kazumi Tanaka was a Japanese voice actor (1951-2007) from Tokyo who voiced members of the Ginyu Force in Dragon Ball Z, including Jeice and Malaka, before his death from cor pulmonale at age 56.
Tanaka voiced Jeice and Malaka, members of the formidable Ginyu Force in Dragon Ball Z. Jeice, the boisterous red alien warrior known for his accent and swagger, required a dynamic performer, and Tanaka delivered a memorable characterization. His work brought personality to the Ginyu Force, making them among the franchise's most entertaining villains during the Saiyan and Namek Sagas.
Born in Suginami, Tokyo, Tanaka was affiliated with Aoni Production and worked consistently throughout his career. He was also known for narrating the television show The Wide and appeared in video game projects. He passed away on December 20, 2007, at age 56, leaving behind a significant body of voice work in anime and entertainment.
