Heeter's Race

Race

The mysterious alien species to which the Heeter family belongs. Characterized by turquoise skin, violet dreadlock-style hair, and cyan rings around their eyes, this race possesses remarkable longevity and a terrifying berserk transformation triggered by removing their mental restraints. They played a central role in the Granolah the Survivor Saga.

Turquoise Skin and Hidden Fury

Members of this unnamed race share a striking set of physical traits: turquoise-toned skin, hair styled in violet or purple dreadlocks, and distinctive cyan dark circles encircling their predominantly blue eyes. Beyond these commonalities, the race displays significant variation in body size. The four known siblings range from the diminutive Gas to the towering, heavyset Oil, suggesting broad physical diversity within the species.

Their diet includes meat and wine, placing them among the more conventionally omnivorous species in the Dragon Ball universe. Their homeworld remains completely unknown, adding to the air of mystery surrounding their origins.

The Mind Restraint

Perhaps the most dangerous trait of this race is the berserk transformation known as Inner Nature Unleashed. By removing a device called the Mind Restraint, a member of this race can tap into their deepest primal instincts, gaining a massive surge in power at the cost of rational thought. With sufficient training, however, this state can be controlled and refined into what is known as the Awakened Form, as Gas demonstrated during his battles against Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah.

The Heeter Force and the Granolah Saga

The only known members of this race are the four Heeter siblings: Elec, Macki, Oil, and Gas. Together they operated the Heeter Force, a powerful criminal organization that dealt in information brokering and planetary conquest. For decades, they worked behind the scenes, manipulating events and individuals to consolidate power across the galaxy.

Their ambitions reached a climax during the Granolah the Survivor Saga in the Dragon Ball Super manga. Elec, the eldest and craftiest sibling, orchestrated a scheme using the Cerealian Dragon Balls to make Gas the strongest warrior in Universe 7. This wish propelled Gas to extraordinary heights of power, but the accelerated aging that came with it proved to be a devastating side effect.

Gas battled Goku, Vegeta, and Granolah across multiple encounters, powering up twice more even after sacrificing portions of his lifespan. His ability to survive in the vacuum of space demonstrated that the race possesses biological resilience far beyond what their appearance might suggest. Despite all of this, both Gas and Elec met their end at the hands of Frieza, who returned to remind the galaxy that no upstart organization could challenge his supremacy.

Shadow Brokers of the Universe

The Heeter family operated for decades as intermediaries between the Frieza Force and its targets, profiting from the destruction of civilizations while staying largely out of the spotlight. Their business model relied on intelligence gathering and manipulation rather than raw force, though Gas provided the muscle when negotiations failed.

Each sibling filled a distinct role. Elec served as the strategic mastermind, directing operations from behind the scenes. Macki handled reconnaissance and infiltration. Oil provided imposing physical presence during negotiations. Gas, the youngest, functioned as the family's ultimate weapon, kept in check by his Mind Restraint until Elec deemed it necessary to unleash him.

A Cautionary Legacy

The Heeter family's story serves as a cautionary tale about ambition outpacing wisdom. Their attempt to supplant Frieza by artificially creating the universe's strongest warrior backfired catastrophically. Gas's rapid aging and eventual death, combined with Frieza's brutal retaliation, erased the entire Heeter operation in a matter of days. The race's broader population and homeworld remain complete unknowns, leaving open the question of whether other members exist somewhere in the cosmos.
