A rapid-fire barrage technique where the user launches dozens of small energy blasts in quick succession, saturating an area with explosive ki projectiles.
The Continuous Energy Bullet is less a single technique and more a category of attack used by nearly every fighter in the Dragon Ball universe. The concept is simple: rather than charging one large blast, the user fires dozens or even hundreds of small energy projectiles at rapid speed. Each individual shot may be relatively weak, but the combined volume creates a devastating bombardment that is extremely difficult to dodge completely.
The technique requires relatively little concentration per shot, allowing the user to maintain sustained fire while still tracking a moving target. Fighters typically use one or both hands, pumping out energy blasts as fast as they can generate them. The resulting barrage creates a storm of explosions that can level entire landscapes.
Almost every major fighter in Dragon Ball has used some form of continuous energy barrage at one point or another. Vegeta is particularly fond of the technique, unleashing massive barrages against opponents like Frieza, Cell, and Buu when his patience runs thin. His signature version involves firing hundreds of blasts from extended hands while screaming in frustration, often destroying vast amounts of terrain while barely scratching his actual target.
Piccolo, Gohan, Tien, and even Krillin have all employed continuous barrages in desperate situations. The technique is often the first thing a fighter resorts to when overwhelmed, serving as both an offensive attack and a way to create distance. Even Frieza and Cell use rapid-fire variants of their signature moves, such as the Barrage Death Beam.
Despite its reputation as a desperation move, the Continuous Energy Bullet has genuine tactical value. The barrage can flush opponents out of cover, force them to dodge rather than counterattack, and create a smokescreen of dust and debris that obscures the user's follow-up action. Skilled fighters use the barrage as setup for a more powerful finishing technique.
In the Tournament of Power, several fighters use continuous barrages strategically, targeting the arena itself to create unstable footing or reduce the available fighting surface. The technique's environmental destruction can be as valuable as its direct damage in the right circumstances.
