Fury Transformation

Transformation

The Fury Transformation is a rage-based power up most notably associated with Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. When sufficiently angered, the user's power spikes significantly beyond their normal output. For a being already at the level of a God of Destruction, even a modest percentage increase translates to an overwhelming surge of combat power.

Beerus's Anger

Even Gods of Destruction are not immune to anger, and Beerus demonstrated this during his battle with Super Saiyan God Goku in the Battle of Gods storyline. When Goku managed to land blows that genuinely annoyed or frustrated Beerus, the deity's power output increased noticeably. His attacks became more forceful, his movements more aggressive, and his overall demeanor shifted from playful amusement to genuine combat intent. For someone already operating at a universal threat level, this rage-fueled increase was significant enough to widen the gap between himself and Goku.

Anger Across the Franchise

The concept of rage amplifying power is one of Dragon Ball's oldest themes. Gohan's hidden power was triggered by anger throughout the Saiyan and Namek Sagas, and Goku's original Super Saiyan transformation was catalyzed by fury over Krillin's death. The Fury Transformation as it applies to Beerus is notable because it demonstrates that even beings who have transcended mortal limitations and achieved divine status are still subject to the emotional amplification that defines so many power-ups in the franchise.
