Appearance

Red hair sculpted into a tall Mohawk marks Bazz-B out at a glance, set off by green eyes, a pair of metal nuts punched through the top of his left ear, and a single bolt set low in the right one. A burn dealt by Yamamoto later leaves the crest ragged and unkempt. His outfit reworks the Sternritter white into a hooded cloak over a thigh-length coat, black gloves, cropped trousers above military boots, a slim chain bearing the Wandenreich crest at the throat, and skull-marked bands around his upper arms. As a boy he sported a crested helmet and a breastplate stamped with a stylized B, a pinned red cape, and a wild spiky mop beneath.

Personality

Abrasive and quick-tempered, Bazz-B blurts out whatever irritates him the instant it does. He thinks highly of Jugram Haschwalth and follows Yhwach loyally, yet that loyalty is far from blind; he acts on his own judgment whenever it suits him, once storming toward the emperor's chambers to protest the choice of successor. Cruelty comes easily to him, from grinding a wounded Shinigami's skull underfoot to gunning down four fellow Sternritter just to claim Ichigo for himself. He guards his Mohawk jealously and answers any insult to it with fire. After Yhwach spends him as fuel for the Auswählen, betrayal hardens into a vow to outlive the ordeal and kill his king. As a child he was a preening prodigy who called himself a genius, though he still watched over the weaker Haschwalth and took him under his wing.

History

The son of a northern lord, Bazz-B crossed paths as a boy with a young Haschwalth over a hunt, mocked his skill, then adopted him as a follower and swore the two would grow into the strongest Quincies alive. When Yhwach's conquest swept the northern lands, Bazz-B watched his mother shot dead and his home flattened by the emperor's Sankt Bogen. The two boys survived on scavenged valuables and trained five years to kill Yhwach. When Yhwach's guard came recruiting for the Sternritter, Bazz-B expected to be chosen, only for the emperor to name Haschwalth his right hand and reveal that Haschwalth's hidden gift had been feeding Bazz-B's power all along. Enraged, he fired on Yhwach and was intercepted. Centuries later, during the Thousand-Year Blood War, he tears through the 3rd Division, duels Tōshirō Hitsugaya to a standstill with his Burner Finger techniques, survives Yamamoto's flames, and later hunts Ichigo. After the Auswählen strips away his Vollständig, he allies with the Shinigami to reach the Soul King Palace, then turns on Haschwalth in Silbern for a final reckoning. Refusing to yield even as his arm is severed, Bazz-B falls to his old friend's blade, admitting the loss stings less than he had always expected.
