The "G" in Guts

Still gliding through Venice's canals, Team Bucciarati stays on edge, certain the Boss has sent his elite guard after their rebellion. When Sex Pistols demand lunch, the group halts at a restaurant. Mista, Abbacchio, and Narancia trade jokes about vegetarians while Giorno keeps watch. A passerby collides with Narancia and gets wine on his suit, and when he shouts, the three mistake him for a foe and pummel him. Turning serious, Bucciarati lays out the plan: the Boss's Stand can wipe away time and is unbeatable, but learning his identity would let them assassinate him, and Trish is their thread to it. She steps forward willingly, revealing her mother met the Boss in Sardinia, which makes that island the place to uncover who he was before Passione.

Narancia then finds a tiny shark has chewed through his spoon inside his soup. He summons Aerosmith and fires, but the shark vanishes and reappears in the liquid of a new spoon, lunging to rip out his tongue. As his throat clamps shut, Giorno pierces his windpipe with a pen so he can breathe and grows him a replacement tongue. Watching from a balcony, the Passione operatives Squalo and Tiziano note that Clash alone cannot finish the whole team, so they intend to turn Narancia into a weapon.

Recovered but horrified, Narancia finds he can only feed his friends false information, insisting the enemy was a large rocky thing and steering them toward the canals. As the group swallows the lies, he even tries to stop Giorno from boarding their boat. Bucciarati orders Abbacchio to track the foe with Moody Blues, unaware that water is exactly where it is weakest. When Clash surfaces in the canal and Narancia points, his arm swings instead toward the restrooms, so the team heads into a room full of water sources for the Stand to strike from. The cause becomes clear: Tiziano has planted Talking Head, a small Stand fixed to Narancia's tongue that compels him to lie.

In the restrooms, Abbacchio prepares Moody Blues while Narancia scrambles to keep everyone away from water, even urinating in the toilet meant for the Stand. After the group leaves, Talking Head forces Narancia's own knife to slash his wrist as bait to draw Giorno toward the blood, but Narancia shoots a pipe with Aerosmith and cauterizes the wound with his heated tracer rounds. Giorno finally realizes an enemy power is forcing the lies, yet water leaking from the damaged pipe pools into a puddle from which Clash erupts and tears into Giorno's throat.
