Chapter 135

Choso explains why he is certain Yuji is family. His cursed technique lets him sense his younger brothers transforming through their shared blood, and death is the ultimate transformation. When he nearly killed Yuji earlier in the fighting, he felt that very sensation. Given that Pseudo-Noritoshi Kamo has extended his life by leaping between hosts, a blood link between the two is plausible. Determined to act the part of older brother, Choso activates Blood Manipulation: Convergence, a version so refined it stuns the Kyoto student who shares the name.

Choso fires Piercing Blood that nearly takes Uraume's face and drills through Geto's reinforced hand. He swings the trailing stream to slash and disrupt the curse user's footing, and the two trade close-quarters blows. Geto lands the first telling hit and suggests Choso rest after fighting so long, but Choso refuses to treat fatigue as an excuse when his brother's life is at stake.

Seeing a chance in the chaos, Panda leads Noritoshi and Kusakabe forward in Gorilla Mode and triggers Unblockable Drumming Beat, but Uraume answers with Ice Formation: Frost Calm, a freezing mist that locks Choso, Noritoshi, Panda, and Kusakabe in ice. Choso melts free with Flowing Red Scale, only for Uraume to threaten him point-blank. Yuji, spared the ice thanks to Sukuna, drop-kicks Choso clear, and Choso again insists he is Yuji's brother. Momo's Wind Scythe is blocked easily, and when Uraume unleashes a fresh wave of icicles meant to kill Yuji, Choso, and Momo, a shikigami shatters the ice. Yuki Tsukumo strides onto the field beside it, asking Geto the same question she posed years ago about what kind of girls he likes.

This chapter is part of the Shibuya Incident Arc and was collected in Volume 16, first published in 2021 and adapted in Episode 46. Eso and Kechizu appear in fantasy panels. The chapter marks the conclusion of the battle against Pseudo-Geto and Uraume. Akutami's note admits to breaking his perfect schedule over the holidays.
