The 137th chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, titled Hard and White, surveys the curse-ravaged ruins of post-incident Tokyo and reintroduces Yuta Okkotsu, who is formally handed the higher-ups' order to execute Yuji Itadori himself.
An aerial view exposes a vast dead zone where central Tokyo once stood. At Jujutsu Headquarters the officials weigh a grim situation: nearly all of the twenty-three wards are wrecked, only scattered pockets remain clear, and an estimated ten million cursed spirits have spilled out among five million residents. They wrangle over evacuation logistics, whether to extend the protective barriers to the prefecture's edge, and how to keep the public from learning that curses exist, settling on a cover story that confines the danger to Tokyo alone.
Inside a convenience store, a young girl eats whatever she can find when a sinister figure in the doorway coaxes her outside, promising her family is waiting. She catches its lies, and as she steps out a huge cursed spirit yanks aside the decoy and bares its teeth to swallow her. Yuta drops from above and drives his katana through its skull, checking on the frightened girl and noting from her worn shoes that she has wandered a long way alone.
When the creature lunges again, Rika hurls it into a wall, and Yuta gently covers the girl's eyes to spare her the sight. Later he meets the higher-ups, bluntly telling them he will follow their orders and offering a Binding Vow to prove it. He vows to kill Yuji personally because Yuji severed Inumaki's arm in Shibuya, brushing aside that the target is Gojo's student. The officials issue their rulings: Geto is confirmed alive and sentenced to death again, Gojo is branded an accomplice and permanently exiled with his unsealing declared a crime, Masamichi Yaga is to be executed for inciting the incident, Yuji's execution resumes at once, and Yuta is named the executioner.
The chapter belongs to the Shibuya Incident Arc and was gathered into Volume 16, first published in 2021 and adapted in Episode 47. Yuta Okkotsu debuts in the main series here, accompanied by Rika Orimoto. Gojo and Geto are mentioned, while Inumaki, Yaga, and Yuji appear in fantasy panels. Akutami's note directs curious readers to Volume 0 and calls Okkotsu indecisive.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....
