Impure Beam fires a vast column of light that ranks among the deadliest weapons All For One ever stole. It killed Gigantomachia with one shot and tore through most of Armored All Might's shields, yet its own light is the crack that eventually undoes it.
All For One took this long range Emitter Quirk from a user the series never names. It first appears in Chapter 382, though the story withholds its title until Chapter 397, and the anime introduces it in Episode 156. Tomura Shigaraki wields it as well.
The concept is blunt: an enormous, destructive beam of light, and few things in All For One's collection hit harder.
A single discharge spreads devastation across a wide area. The record backs that up. It went head to head with Light of Baldur from Fumikage Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, it ended Gigantomachia outright in one blast, and it stripped roughly two thirds of Armored All Might's shields with one connection. During his third confrontation with All Might, All For One layered it in among a scattershot mix of other Quirks.
Tomura reached for it in his last fight against Izuku Midoriya, opening with an attempt to punch through the boy's Blackwhip guard. Once All For One had reclaimed that body, he folded the beam into a Quirk combination that multiplied its output tenfold, only for Toru Hagakure to bend the shot away from its target.
Pushing it that far carries a price: at maximum, propped up by additional Quirks, the blast tears apart the user's arm or even their entire body. The Rewind Drug's regeneration let All For One shrug that off, while Tomura's rebuilt physique simply endured the recoil. The other flaw is fundamental. Light can be refracted, so any power capable of manipulating it, Invisibility included, can turn the beam aside.
All For One is the principal user, with Tomura Shigaraki as the second, and an unidentified original holder before either. Its victims and opponents include Gigantomachia, Fumikage Tokoyami and Dark Shadow, All Might, Izuku Midoriya, and Toru Hagakure, whose Invisibility redirected it.
Impure Beam is a long range Emitter Quirk in All For One's collection that fires an enormous, destructive column of light, ranking among the deadliest powers he has ever stolen.
All For One is the primary user of Impure Beam, and Tomura Shigaraki has also wielded it after inheriting All For One's stolen powers; the original holder is never identified.
A single blast of Impure Beam killed Gigantomachia outright and stripped away roughly two thirds of Armored All Might's shields in one hit.
Pushed to maximum output alongside other Quirks, Impure Beam tears apart the user's arm or entire body, a cost that All For One's Rewind Drug and Tomura Shigaraki's rebuilt physique were both able to withstand.
Because Impure Beam is made of light, it can be refracted, so Quirks that manipulate light, such as Toru Hagakure's Invisibility, are able to bend the beam away from its target.
