Farewell Party!

Running late to a FeatherHATS meeting, Koichi and Kazuho accept a lift from Captain Celebrity, who is already carrying Makoto Tsukauchi through the winter sky. Only Koichi arrives shivering, and the reason is his host's Quirk: an aerodynamic field that grants flight, blunts attacks and shuts out the weather, and can be stretched over anyone he carries. Koichi suspects the sharing is reserved for women. Makoto asks him to keep the mechanics off the record, not for image management but because the details could be exploited.

Business wraps up for the year and the Christmas party begins. Afterward, cleaning up, Makoto hands her boss two pieces of news. His American lawsuits are almost cleared, most having proven fraudulent once examined, the products of frivolous filings, honeytraps, paparazzi arrangements and a man whose whole demeanor invites litigation. His licenses will be reinstated. Second, Pamela is due next month. She asked Makoto not to tell him, believing his good heart is undercut by softness and that he earns a place beside their child by cleaning up his own mess first. Makoto took the whole rescue project on herself. Chris cries, then immediately mishandles one of the Sisters while imagining his newborn, which is precisely the behavior that generates lawsuits.

A winged creature then rips the Sisters' taxi off the street, and the Scarred Man, watching from a distance, presses a button on his phone. The thing detonates as Captain Celebrity reaches it, and he takes the whole blast while sealing the girls inside his barrier. Bystanders film the wreck of a hero; Makoto tells him he has never looked better. The villain, meanwhile, reviews the file on his Bomber and concludes that the barrier's very use implies a ceiling, and starts pricing out two or three of them at once.

On New Year's Day, Naomasa tells All Might their meetings will thin out, since a dealer list Knuckleduster passed to Eizo has broken his Trigger investigation wide open. He declines All Might's offer to help, burglar disguise and all. At Hoppers, Eraser Head hands the detective a flash drive of Naruhata Vigilantes activity, screened a week earlier by Midnight and mostly classifiable as self defense, and lies with a straight face about where it came from while the Hotta brothers laugh.

The Bomber incident sends Captain Celebrity's approval rating and merchandise through the roof, so Makoto relocates his homecoming party from Naruhata Public Hall to the Tokyo Sky Egg, arms already twisted, deal already done, FeatherHATS performing. Fifty thousand strangers terrifies the girls. Chris tells them to prepare exactly as they always do. Training begins, Makoto starts booking every pro in Japan, Eraser Head offers a conditional yes and Endeavor refuses outright, and she keeps pestering her brother for a line to All Might's agency.

Captain Celebrity's aerodynamic barrier is explained on screen, including that he can extend it over others, information Makoto asks be kept confidential to prevent exploitation.

Makoto reveals that his lawsuits are being cleared and that Pamela is due to give birth within the month, a pregnancy hidden from him at Pamela's request until he proves his responsibility.

The Scarred Man tests a Bomber against Captain Celebrity for the first time, treating the encounter as reconnaissance on the barrier's limits. Knuckleduster's dealer list and Eraser Head's flash drive advance Naomasa's investigation toward the Villain Factory, and Captain Celebrity's farewell party is moved to the Tokyo Sky Egg.

Number twenty-two of the Vigilantes anime and the ninth of season two, adapting Chapters 46 and 47 as the Sky Egg arc opens. It premiered March 2, 2026, using CATCH!!! and Miss you.

The adaptation lengthens the commute to Marukane and the Christmas party, and adds Captain Celebrity reacting to Koichi accepting the ride. Koichi joins the pursuit of the Bomber, which only the Captain does in print, and the ejected taxi driver is shown stuck to a light pole. Jube's help with party cleanup is dropped, as is the Hotta brothers smiling at Eraser Head over the flash drive.

The vigilante footage shown to Midnight is rebuilt from earlier episodes rather than the manga's single scrap with the Sturm und Drang brothers. Pop reacts more strongly to the fifty thousand seat figure. Among the recruited heroes, Best Jeanist gets a rooftop shot, Mirko is bench pressing, Gang Orca's sidekicks wear their Final War costumes outside the aquarium on Okuto Island, and Fat Gum and Monika are cut.
