Summary

Koichi keeps loitering at Hoppers because Eraser Head is never there anymore and Kazuho is drilling nonstop for Captain Celebrity's farewell party, a production FeatherHATS explicitly asked him to stay away from. Naomasa, meeting the hero at Naruhata's station house, lays out what the flash drive bought him: cross referencing Instant Villain victims against Eizo's Trigger customer list, roughly half of the connected names turn out to work for or contract with Onomura Pharma Corp., a bulk drug supplier to hospitals. He suspects headquarters, Eraser Head will settle for a hideout, and neither is comfortable that a police investigation now runs on anonymous tips.

Fat Gum and Monika Kaniyashiki barge in as partners on the case. Because Fat Gum is impossible to hide, Eraser Head is assigned to shadow Monika through the delicate parts, and spends days in suits, work clothes, hippie costumes and convention gear while she works targets and jokes at a man with no idea how to respond. She eventually lifts a staff card. Koichi spots the two mid patrol, reports it to the Hotta brothers, and the twins immediately conclude Eraser Head is secretly dating an idol, then ambush him about it over coffee.

The party fills the Tokyo Sky Egg to capacity. Present Mic works the crowd, Ingenium and Midnight lead the pros out, and the FeatherHATS routine lands. At the same hour, Naomasa's raid enters Onomura's Kanto research center on a drug production pretext, with the real objective being suspects and evidence of human experimentation, in and out fast. In a dark lab full of incubators, two Next-Level Villains burst loose and are put down, then a Bomber, whose self detonation Erasure kills mid trigger before Fat Gum flattens it. Eraser Head cancels the whole remaining batch at once, then spots the Scarred Man behind them, smiling at his phone. The top of the building blows out and the Bombers escape into the sky with the villain riding one.

He admits he was frightened by how fast law enforcement moved, and consoles himself that the staff he failed to evacuate can no longer talk. Then he remembers the date, and improvises. Inside the dome, Captain Celebrity projects a hospital photo of Pamela and their newborn son onto the stage monitor and phones his wife to surprise her, forgetting the time difference and, more importantly, that the photo is one she hates. She forgives him on the condition that it went no further than fifty co-workers. He tells her fifty thousand. The scream ends the call.

Sent to check on him, Koichi spots the Onomura building smoking far off, with a wave of Bombers already inbound. The first strike rocks the tower and blows the windows out, sucking him into the air. He clings to the facade and shouts the warning. Captain Celebrity suits up and takes the swarm head on, shrugging off a point blank detonation with his barrier, until a larger Bomber latches onto the support tower and blows it apart. The dome begins to topple, the hero catches it, and the Scarred Man sends in Multi-Armed Bombers to pound a man who now cannot let go.

Notes

Episode twenty-three of the Vigilantes anime and the tenth of season two, adapting Chapters 48 and 49 plus most of Chapter 50 in the Sky Egg arc. It first aired March 9, 2026. Inko Midoriya and her son Izuku appear from behind among the crowd inside the stadium.

The undercover stretch is reworked: Monika compliments the suit, the surveillance van with Naomasa and Fat Gum is cut, a Fat Gum fight during the tennis disguise is dropped, and a new scene has the pair posing as scientists to obtain an entry pass. Koichi waving at them is removed, as is a beat of him making tea while Pop is on the phone.

The building's design differs from the manga, the opening act runs longer, and a conversation among Fat Gum, Monika and Eraser Head about attending the party is cut. During the raid Fat Gum captures scientists, a second Bomber's self destruction is cancelled, and Monika does more. Wash lifts the cheerleaders and Little Sisters rather than Gang Orca and his sidekicks, Death Arms is drawn into an arm wrestle with Gang Orca, the barrier gets more emphasis when it shrugs off the first attack, and Koichi's cry of fear comes slightly earlier.
