Chapter 103 (Vigilantes)

Officers working with Naomasa Tsukauchi lock restraints onto Number 6, and the O'Clock illusion notices the cuffs carry a stun charge. A call goes out for Midnight, already on her way. Because her Quirk would drag his brain into sleep, Number 6 decides the arrest has to collapse right now. Parts of him liquefy while the police react in confusion, then Overclock halts the world long enough for him to reassemble directly in Naomasa's face. Bomber cells answer only to the brain, he sneers, so ruining his hands and legs was pointless. The skull was the target worth choosing.

Soga Kugisaki still has a scope on him from outside, the illusion warns, but Number 6 counts on the officers standing in the firing line. Before he can punish them for reacting slowly, Koichi Haimawari pelts his face with Shooty-Go-Blam rounds. They carry almost no force, yet O'Clock concedes they are a real nuisance and advises pulling back rather than burning through breath, which Number 6 grudgingly does.

Outside, watched silently from the bushes by Rapt Tokage and Moyuru Tochi, he sends Anonymous bodies at the police and at Soga while planning his way back in. The two onlookers see only a man arguing with empty air. Then Koichi blasts skyward, sent by Naomasa to fetch All Might while the rest hold the line. The illusion counts roughly sixty seconds of grace, which Number 6 waves off: killing Kazuho Haneyama would be quick work. Running scared from Koichi is what galls him, along with a plan that leaves him nameless and faceless forever. He resolves to do the slaughter himself, and Koichi lands behind him.

Number 6 slips out of police custody moments after being cuffed, using Overclock and his melting Bomber cells to reform in front of Naomasa.

Naomasa orders Koichi to escape the area and summon All Might, giving the villain a countdown to work against.

Irritated by a scheme that keeps him anonymous, Number 6 abandons restraint and commits to killing everyone present. Koichi turns back and confronts him.

Written by Hideyuki Furuhashi and drawn by Betten Court, the nineteen-page chapter ran on June 12, 2021 as part of the Naruhata Lockdown arc, later collected in volume 13 with The Crawler on the cover.

Its magazine printing carried a different name, Inhumanity (Hito Narazaru Mono), which was replaced for the volume release.

The replacement title echoes Thanos taunting Thor during Avengers: Infinity War. The stance Number 6 takes while readying his Self-Destruct also recalls the Infinity Gauntlet.
