Summary

From a café, Toshinori Yagi watches coverage of a sweeping blackout across Naruhata, where Tokyo and the metropolitan police are asking any free hero to shield frightened residents. Knowing how much of Naomasa Tsukauchi's work happens there, he hopes for the best, then takes a call sending All Might to a Namahage incident in Akita.

In Naruhata itself, Number 6 sends Koichi Haimawari flying, describing the blow as a high-speed barrage with Bombify, Detonation, and Regeneration stacked into his fist, a combination good for three punches per breath. Naomasa registers the blasts from a distance. Midnight puts the Anonymous under with her Quirk and heads back toward Kazuho Haneyama's room, while Soga Kugisaki swings down from a rooftop wondering whether Koichi has gotten out.

Rapt Tokage and Moyuru Tochi flinch at the explosion, which alerts Number 6 to them and puts them on his kill list. Then Koichi stands back up, largely unharmed. Charging in again, Number 6 is told by the O'Clock illusion that an unseen variable is in play and that he should accelerate and watch closely. He works it out: the repulsion from Slide and Glide scatters the blasts, and leaping backward drains the rest of the force. Another cheat code cracked, though the counter still eludes him. O'Clock floats a strike too fast to react to, then reconsiders given Koichi's guard, speed, maneuverability, and flight, and recommends withdrawal instead.

Number 6 brushes the warning aside and calls Koichi a pest. Koichi, for his part, reflects that his body has always moved ahead of his thinking, a habit that irritates people. Today the irritation is the point, because every second he keeps the villain furious is a second everyone else stays alive. Back at the café, All Might returns from Akita only to be summoned again, this time over an Awa Odori disturbance down in Tokushima.
