The fight moves into a half-built frame where Gentle turns the beams elastic and bounces beyond reading. Fifteen minutes from the festival's start, Izuku is holding a collapsing girder over a civilian while the pair he needs to stop slingshot themselves toward U.A.
The impact draws a civilian's eye. La Brava waves it off as a shoot in progress and asks him to pass that on to his neighbors. Izuku Midoriya comes down inside the site and recovers fast, with thanks owed to Mina Ashido and Mei Hatsume for their part in that. Gentle Criminal fares worse: his jacket snags on a beam and leaves him swinging in the air. He intends to go through with the plan regardless, and when Izuku asks what he is after, he objects to being lumped in with the League of Villains, having no interest in pillage or plunder.
La Brava reaches them. Izuku spells out the trap: the moment Gentle enters the festival the alarm sounds, the event is cancelled on the spot, and there is nowhere left to run. Alarms do not trouble Gentle, because his partner in crime will render them useless, the festival will carry on, and the infiltration will stand. He would rather move before the boy makes things more troublesome. Izuku bluffs that he has already been reported and will be held until the Police Force arrives. Gentle does not buy it, and with neither able to move the other, he launches off an elastic trampoline.
Izuku pursues into a fight he cannot track. Gentle turns the surrounding beams elastic and ricochets around him too fast to read, and the attempt to predict him ends in a hit. La Brava calls for a retreat; Gentle wants the boy handled first. He strips the nuts and bolts out of a beam once the metal has gone elastic, explaining that he cannot consciously switch the Quirk off and that whatever he alters returns to form on its own schedule. Izuku watches the frame start to give and spots the civilian below it, and reads the intent.
Gentle leaps clear of the falling beam and leaves Izuku no choice but to catch it. Accused of trying to drop it on a bystander, Gentle counters that he only wanted the boy occupied and had originally meant for it to bounce back. The civilian runs. Gentle turns a crane's hook elastic, lining up a slingshot to fling the two of them clear of the frame. Holding the beam, Izuku knows an unnoticed entry into the festival ends everything and that he has seconds.
At 8:45, Class 1-A is changed and ready for the live dance performance. Shoto Todoroki notices Izuku missing and wonders what is keeping him, and Yuga Aoyama says he went out for rope. Fifteen minutes remain.
The slingshot fires and the pair sail toward U.A. Gentle expects the school to be watching, and expects the world to know him as a man who accomplished something spectacular. One arm on the beam, Izuku sends a Delaware Smash Air Force after them. Gentle twists out of its path with nothing to spare and notes the boy's tenacity. As the beam drops, La Brava sees that Izuku will not stop, and knows her Quirk is the only card left.
Izuku and Gentle carry their fight into the construction site.
The School Festival is fifteen minutes from opening.
Izuku swats the pair from the air mid flight, which forces La Brava to reach for her Quirk.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Titled At the Construction Site, the chapter runs seventeen pages and appeared on April 2, 2018, in issue 18 of that year. It belongs to volume 19 and the U.A. School Festival arc, with La Brava alone on the cover, and Episode 84 adapts it.
The fight between Izuku Midoriya and Danjuro Tobita continues here, featuring One For All, Elasticity, Delaware Smash Air Force and the Air Force Gloves.
Horikoshi's author comment notes that the anime's third season was about to premiere in Japan.
In Chapter 177, "At the Construction Site," Izuku Midoriya's fight with Gentle Criminal moves into a half-built construction site where Gentle turns the steel beams elastic and bounces around too fast to track. With the U.A. School Festival fifteen minutes from starting, Gentle and La Brava use a crane hook to slingshot themselves toward the school.
At the construction site in Chapter 177, Gentle Criminal makes the surrounding steel beams elastic and ricochets off them too quickly for Izuku Midoriya to predict, later stripping bolts from one beam to explain that whatever he alters with Elasticity returns to normal on its own schedule.
When Gentle Criminal leaps clear of a beam he has weakened, Izuku Midoriya spots a civilian standing beneath it and catches the falling girder himself rather than let it drop, even though Gentle claims he only meant it to bounce back.
Chapter 177 notes that Class 1-A is already dressed and ready backstage at 8:45 for its live dance performance, with only fifteen minutes left before the festival opens while Izuku Midoriya is still fighting Gentle Criminal off campus.
Gentle Criminal turns a construction crane's hook elastic to build a slingshot, launching himself and La Brava toward U.A. High School, forcing Izuku Midoriya to fire a Delaware Smash Air Force after them while still holding up a falling beam.
