Summary

The Quirk Singularity pushes Tomura Shigaraki's flesh toward its optimal configuration. His appetite for destruction had produced the swollen finger mass that kept everyone at a distance, but the Heroes worked through it, and with Erasure suppressing Super Regeneration, accumulated wounds and mounting mental strain chewed at him until his body settled into its true shape. Fingers now sheathe him completely, and his left hand cradles five faces belonging to the Shimura Family.

Mirko goes at him and is dropped by a single punch. Suneater and Nejire Chan meet the same fate. Lemillion throws himself into the villain's line of sight to shield them and gets mocked for his powerlessness, which leaves him shaking with fear and fury alike. Best Jeanist rushes in with carbon fiber, wondering whether this defensive form is the conclusion Tomura arrived at, and Lemillion's next attempt is swatted aside before the villain charges the older Hero. Surveying the barely living bodies scattered across the field, Lemillion asks Sir Nighteye whether this is the future he foresaw.

Mandalay's telepathic call reaches the survivors: the electromagnetic barrier can come down, but they must pin Tomura for two seconds. Best Jeanist knows that is an eternity. Lemillion, gnawed at by the taunt that he is not even worth looking at, casts about for any way to seize attention, and recalls his master's advice to keep smiling, since a world that loses its humor and its smiles has no bright future waiting.

Key Events

Tomura shifts into a defensive state with fingers wrapping his whole body while the Shimura Family's visages protrude from his left hand. In that form he flattens every remaining Hero, leaving Lemillion helpless to stop him.

Mandalay relays the request to stall Tomura for two seconds so the electromagnetic barrier can be lifted. Acting on what Sir Nighteye once told him, Lemillion pops up in front of the villain and moons him. Tomura halts, confused and faintly amused, and the barrier opens in that gap. Deku arrives at last, slinging into the battlefield with Blackwhip and joining the fight.

The chapter runs 15 pages in Volume 37 and is adapted in Episode 150. It closes the Pro Heroes and Trainees clash with Tomura and opens Deku's confrontation with him. Fan commentary notes that Tomura's transformation carries visual traits in common with the DC Comics villain Doomsday.
