Summary

Bound for U.A., Deku meets the American fleet sent to bring him in. He hooks Blackwhip to a jet's flank, and the Bravo Leader explains that their assignment was the airspace over the Flying Fortress, and that they stayed in Japan against orders to withdraw because their own girl bet everything on the boy carrying All Might's power. The jets lay out a path for him to swing along and send him off to bring down the greatest villain there is.

He lands on "Tomura" hard, to Lemillion's delight. The villain registers that the boy is stronger and recognizes the glow around him as the Third's Quirk before being slammed back into the electromagnetic barrier, sealed now, Deku on the inside. He apologizes for the delay and asks after everyone, then spots Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight motionless on the ground and goes into shock. The other half-conscious Heroes compound it, while "Tomura" needles him about his lateness, guesses Himiko had a hand in it, and asks whether he has excuses ready for running from responsibility like everyone else.

Rage and terror send his Quirks spiraling. "Tomura" notes that anger makes movement predictable and one clean counter will end it, and starts walking toward him, asking how he likes his presents. Lemillion cuts back in, insisting that everyone still draws breath and that Edgeshot has Katsuki's life in hand, so the fight continues because nobody has been lost yet.

Key Events

The approaching figures turn out to be America's military fleet, sent to escort Deku the rest of the way to U.A., and they disclose that protecting the airspace around the Flying Fortress was their assignment. "Tomura" clocks Deku's growth and identifies his new power with the Quirk of the Third User.

The sight of the comatose Heroes, Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight among them, throws Deku into shock and his Quirks erupt beyond his control, an opening "Tomura" tries to exploit. Lemillion steadies him with the news that everyone is alive. Deku then confronts "All For One" and asks whether Tomura is still inside.

Notes

"Tomura" dismisses Lemillion's reassurance as empty talk meant to dodge reality, and Lemillion answers that Heroes have to speak their ideals aloud in order to make them real. Recalling All Might's encouragement and the Fifth's advice about reining in emotion, Deku steadies himself and apologizes to Lemillion.

Every vestige within One For All stands behind him as he faces the villain. The chapter runs 17 pages in Volume 37 and is adapted in Episode 151.
