Appearance

Bobby is a hulking, heavily built man who dwarfs his older brother Kelly. His dark hair hangs in two tails over his left shoulder, and his long beard is likewise split into two tails. A swirling lightning tattoo runs from his neck down his right shoulder. For clothing he sports a broad-brimmed fedora, a red necktie, and a white shirt with its sleeves pushed up.

Personality

A man of honor and pride, Bobby openly scolded Dagama for scheming and paying off rival fighters, and he plainly loves his country. He keeps a cool head, yet has no taste for violence; faced with an enemy he turned away and begged off, insisting he had never set foot in a single fight. What chiefly occupies him is holding back his savage brother, though through sheer absent-mindedness he keeps seizing Kelly's opponent instead of Kelly.

History

A well-known killer of the Mogaro Kingdom, Bobby and his brother Kelly earned an underworld name by toppling pirates valued above 100 million berries. The pair came to the Corrida Colosseum chasing the Mera Mera no Mi for their homeland and landed in C Block, where Bobby's mild nature kept fumbling his efforts to rein Kelly in. When the warrior Boo stepped up and brought a Haki-charged axe down on Bobby's turned back, the blade snapped apart against him, exposing how impossibly sturdy his frame is. Kelly then used his Jake Jake no Mi to deflate so Bobby could put him on, lending that strength to crush Boo, before the joined brothers were knocked cold by Sai. Both were later changed into toys and made to toil at the underground port until Sugar's collapse undid the spell, after which they cheered Usopp as their rescuer. Still fused some time on, they steered Luffy and Law into a dead-end tunnel with a lie before Doflamingo turned up and put them out of action.

Bobby came into the world with a remarkably powerful body, hardy enough to shatter an Armament-coated axe, yet his timid spirit keeps him from putting it to use; for that reason Kelly normally wears him to draw out the body's full strength. He is reckoned a capable assassin, supposedly able to topple pirates valued past 100 million berries.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is Bobby Funk?

Bobby Funk is a hired killer from the Mogaro Kingdom and the younger brother of Kelly Funk. He entered the Corrida Colosseum during the Dressrosa Arc hoping to win the Mera Mera no Mi, despite having no real taste for violence.

Why did Kelly Funk betray Luffy in One Piece?

The wiki does not describe a direct betrayal; rather, while still fused with his brother Bobby, Kelly Funk misled Luffy and Law with a lie that sent them into a dead-end tunnel, shortly before Donquixote Doflamingo arrived and defeated the pair.

What makes Bobby Funk's body special?

Bobby Funk was born with an extraordinarily durable body, tough enough that a Haki-coated axe swung by the warrior Boo shattered on contact instead of harming him.

How does Kelly Funk use his brother Bobby's strength?

Kelly Funk uses his Jake Jake no Mi to deflate himself and merge with Bobby, essentially wearing him so that Bobby's immense physical durability and power can be put to use, since Bobby himself is too timid to fight.

What is Bobby Funk's personality like?

Bobby Funk is honorable and prideful, openly criticizing underhanded schemes, but he has no stomach for violence and would rather avoid fighting altogether, spending much of his energy trying to restrain his more savage brother Kelly.
