Summary

With weaker entrants tumbling out, the round's heavy hitters start running into one another. Among those left are the explosive striker Ideo, the weapon-thieving Jean Ango, the Mogaro brothers Kelly and Bobby Funk, the Hasshoken trio of Chinjao, Sai, and Boo, and the underdog crowd favorite, Lucy. Both the spectators and Gatz veer between alarm and admiration as each fighter shows off a brutal signature move, everyone wondering who will earn the right to that coveted flame fruit, the Mera Mera no Mi.

After carrying the downed Ucy clear, Luffy draws scorn from Cavendish and delight from Bartolomeo. Ideo then blasts the unconscious Hajrudin off the platform and into the water, vowing the prize fruit will make him stronger. Gatz introduces the Happo Navy's leaders, and Chinjao silences a circle of attackers with Conqueror's Haki before warning everyone he is hunting a single target.

Jean Ango gathers fallen blades as his ammunition and runs a man through. Nearby, Kelly Funk savagely beats a helpless fighter while his bumbling brother Bobby repeatedly seizes the wrong person. Boo knocks Kelly flying with one jab, yet when Bobby pulls on a certain hat, a far larger figure rises and batters Boo into unconsciousness.

Key Events

Ideo's blasting punch sends Hajrudin sailing toward the stands. Sai destroys a rival's helmet and shield and is named the thirteenth head of the Happo Navy, with Boo as vice leader and Chinjao the retired twelfth head. Chinjao's Conqueror's Haki fells a crowd of fighters at once. Jean Ango skewers a charging man and calls himself a sniper whose bullets are scavenged weapons.

Through the hat trick, Kelly Funk appears able to grow larger or hijack his younger brother's frame, which he uses to crush Boo. Afterward the helmet belonging to Lucy is snatched by Jean Ango, who voices his hunch about the fighter's hidden identity. Roughly forty competitors are still active in the block.

Notes

Luffy sets the knocked-out Ucy off to one side. Ideo hurls Hajrudin's limp body toward the audience. Sai and Boo, with Chinjao formerly among them, belong to the Happo Navy: Sai is its current and thirteenth leader, Boo the vice leader, and Chinjao the retired twelfth. The Chinjao Family practices Hasshoken, Chinjao can use Conqueror's Haki, and Boo can use Armament Haki. The Funk Brothers beat Boo. About forty fighters remain in Block C. An art slip depicts Bartolomeo with flat, human-style teeth instead of his usual fangs.
