Hanagasa belongs to the Jellyfish Pirates, the crew featured in One Piece Film: Red. After scheming to abduct the singer Uta, he ends up siding with the Straw Hats and others to halt her plan to trap her fans inside Uta World.
A hulking, fair-skinned bruiser, Hanagasa wears long gray hair that hangs like strands of seaweed over a face set with a thin nose, a wide mouth, and small dark-ringed eyes. His gear includes blue trousers, a purple belt, metal-cuffed brown boots, a purple armband, and a gem-studded metal band on one arm, all crowned by a purple hood that lends him a jellyfish-like silhouette. Once the battle against Uta begins, he is fitted with a black combat outfit.
Loyalty to his captain Eboshi and his crewmates drives him. Indifferent to Uta's concert, he joined Eboshi and Kaginote in plotting to seize her, aware they could never tangle with Shanks and the Red Haired Pirates but hoping to ransom the singer instead. He showed no dread of the Straw Hats and traded blows with them, yet he readily set the crew's ambitions aside to help thwart Uta's scheme.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...
Hanagasa and his crew watched Uta's opening number and moved to grab her, only to clash onstage with Charlotte Oven and Charlotte Brulee, who shared the same goal, before the Straw Hats stepped in to shield her. When he lunged at Sanji, the cook booted him away. Uta ended the brawl by converting the meddling pirates into part of a song, pinning Hanagasa and the others to a musical staff. After the captured Straw Hats worked out that singing the notes beneath their heads would release them, Brook freed his crew, and the Jellyfish Pirates struck a temporary truce with the Straw Hats, SWORD, CP0, and the Big Mom Pirates, hiding among the ruins of Elegia. Hanagasa fought in the climactic battle against Uta and the summoned Tot Musica, gaining his battle outfit in the process. Once Uta World fell and everyone escaped, he and his crew became Uta fans, dancing to her broadcast music. In a fight he relies purely on his fists, shrugging off hits from Sanji and Tot Musica with little harm, and unleashes a flurry of punches he calls Kraken Fist.
