Abilities

Her mermaid heritage grants her the traits common to her kind. While not demonstrated, she may share the species-wide knack for communicating with fish through sonar calls. She can breathe underwater and move at swimming speeds that outpace even the flying fish ridden by the Flying Fish Riders, though, like any mermaid, she becomes helpless once out of the water. She is also an accomplished dancer.

Kairen and her companions greeted the Straw Hats at Mermaid Cove after Camie brought them along. When the three princes came to question the crew's unlawful arrival, the mermaids tried to conceal them, a ruse undone by Sanji's nosebleed and an attack from Hammond. Later, after Caribou abducted Ishilly, Fillonce, and another mermaid, Kairen and the others were left puzzled about their disappearance. Once the conflict with the New Fish-Man Pirates was over, she joined the celebratory dancing at the Ryugu Palace banquet and saw the Straw Hats off as they sailed for the New World.
