The Crew Is Surprised! The New Marine Fleet Admiral!

Neptune confides in Robin about the three ancient weapons and Shirahoshi, warning her to keep the secret from a world that would hunt the princess. Caribou, eavesdropping nearby, slips off to abduct Shirahoshi. Meanwhile Jinbe briefs Luffy and the crew on the timeskip's seismic changes, recounting how Akainu bested Aokiji over ten days to seize the title of fleet admiral, driving Aokiji out of the Marines.

Jinbe also details how Blackbeard swallowed Whitebeard's old territories, claimed an Emperor's seat, and began hunting Devil Fruit users to steal their abilities. Luffy mostly tunes out the report, more interested in finding Shirahoshi. Sensing a large creature in the palace, he, Zoro, and Sanji catch Caribou using his Logia powers to seize the princess, and Luffy boots him out of the tower.

In the cells, the aged Hody and his crew, withered by the Energy Steroids, still nurse dreams of revenge. The Minister of the Left then receives alarming news: Pekoms and Tamago of the Big Mom Pirates have arrived to collect their patron's candy, and Big Mom will raze the island if she goes unpaid.

Jinbe explains Akainu's victory over Aokiji and Blackbeard's rise to Emperor and Devil Fruit hunt. Caribou attempts to kidnap Shirahoshi and is kicked from the tower by Luffy. Nami sends the trio after Caribou to recover Neptune's stolen treasure. Hody and the New Fish-Man Pirates are revealed to have aged drastically from the steroids, which came from the Tamatebako. Big Mom's agents Pekoms and Tamago reach the island to demand candy.

The episode introduces Pekoms and Tamago, though their faces are shadowed. The Four Emperors' silhouettes return for the first time since Episode 314, with Kaidou redrawn inaccurately compared to his eventual debut in Chapter 795. The anime adds Caribou's delayed reaction to being caught and a moment where the aged Ikaros accidentally snaps Hody's back while trying to help him.
