A Massive Counterattack! Doflamingo's Awakening!

Luffy's latest punch hurls the Warlord through a row of buildings, and the watching townsfolk decide to root for the stranger. On the Flower Field, Law warns that the rubber pirate is burning through his Haki far too fast. Jesus Burgess prowls the rooftop hunting Luffy, observed warily by a hidden Koala, while Viola reaches the colosseum and confirms to her father that Doflamingo alone remains of the enemy.

When Luffy moves in to finish the fight before Gear 4 expires, the Warlord blocks his double-fisted blow with twin surges of string ripped from the ground. He then announces that his fruit has awakened, letting him transmute whole structures into thread. Buildings dissolve into a relentless tide of string, and the rubber pirate, unable to break through, realizes the power no longer behaves like a normal Paramecia.

Doflamingo debuts his awakened ability and the Off White technique, overwhelming Luffy by weaponizing the surrounding terrain. Zoro, going the wrong way, is collected by Kin'emon and Kanjuro and flown off on the strained sparrow. Reaching the Seastone-built SMILE Factory, Franky finds it immune to the cage and begins forming a plan. King Riku broadcasts to the whole island, reminding everyone they have lived caged for a decade and that the Straw Hat is now their only hope. His words reignite the citizens, who resume fleeing and start freeing the trapped and the hospitalized.

The adaptation adds Cavendish's reaction to Law's warning, the responses of Tank Lepanto and the people near Riku, Zoro's wrong turn, and Inhel asking Franky why the factory holds. After Riku's speech, new footage shows a Marine and a pirate aiding a disabled man and citizens helping at a hospital. Three minor characters, Shin Jaiya, Shin Detamaruka, and Tegata Ringana, make their first appearance. The anime also clarifies that Doflamingo must keep physical contact with terrain to convert it into thread.
