Kaen Ryuo - Protect Luffy's Life

Doflamingo collapses part of the surrounding cliff, scattering Dressrosa's citizens past a drained Luffy who keeps sinking to the dirt. A few pause beside him, then flee rather than tangle with the Warlord. Gatz hauls the pirate up, recognizes the colosseum's Lucy, and asks whether the fight can continue; Luffy answers that Gear 4 seals his Armament Haki away for ten minutes. As Doflamingo patches his organs and drifts down toward the streets, Gatz summons a crowd of gladiators.

These are the fighters who chased the bounties Doflamingo posted instead of helping, and several among them, including Mummy, Meadows, and Rolling Logan, voice regret for letting money cloud them. They vow to delay Doflamingo while Luffy's Haki returns. Some confront the Warlord directly as the rest flee with Gatz, but Jesus Burgess crashes through a building, dagger drawn for Luffy's Devil Fruit, only to be kicked aside by Sabo.

Gatz organizes the gladiators to guard Luffy through his ten-minute recovery. Pressing his pipe against the throat of Burgess, Sabo names himself a Revolutionary and Luffy's brother, and reveals that the flame fruit Ace once held, the Mera Mera no Mi, now belongs to him. The brothers grin at each other before Sabo sends Luffy on after Doflamingo.

Combining flame with Ryusoken, Sabo flings Burgess away spinning and scorched through Moeru Ryusoken: Kaen Ryuo, realizing the man hunts Devil Fruit eaters. Meanwhile Doflamingo butchers the stalling gladiators with his awakened threads, brushing them off despite his injuries and roaring for Luffy to show himself.

The adaptation lengthens Luffy's exhausted collapse and adds Sabo racing toward him after sensing his Haki fade, plus two physical blows ahead of the Kaen Ryuo finisher. This Dressrosa Arc entry was first slated for February 7, but its premiere was cut off by breaking coverage of a North Korean rocket launch passing through Japanese airspace, shifting it to February 13. Nami is the eyecatcher, and the episode rates 10.2.
