Summary

Bloated almost beyond standing from hours of eating biscuit soldiers, Luffy still refuses to surrender or vomit them up, infuriating an exhausted Cracker into charging him directly with Pretzel. In response, Luffy inflates into a rounder Gear 4 form called Tankman: Full Version. Cracker's slashes and thrusts cannot pierce Luffy's Armament Haki, and a stronger strike only sucks Pretzel and Cracker himself into the folds of Luffy's body before launching him out at tremendous speed through his own soldiers and clear into Sweet City.

Cracker crashes unconscious into the Whole Cake Chateau, alarming Big Mom and his siblings, who raise an emergency alert as citizens panic. Luffy deactivates Gear 4 and celebrates with Nami, but Pound and Kingbaum warn that this triumph will provoke Big Mom's wrath.

Key Events

Pound and Kingbaum recount how Big Mom once raged when Urouge defeated Snack, unleashing a storm through her living thundercloud Zeus and living sun Prometheus that quickly wrecked Urouge's ship. Undeterred, Luffy stays focused on rescuing Sanji before the wedding and orders Kingbaum, bound by Nami's Vivre Card, to carry them out of the Seducing Woods. In the Mirro-World, the fleeing Chopper and Carrot finally spot Sanji through a mirror, only for Reiju to step in front and reveal the family is bound for the Whole Cake Chateau, just as Brulee reaches them. Sanji dons a red cape and rides off in the carriage, gazing at the ceiling and picturing his crew rather than waving to the cheering Germa soldiers.

Notes

This is the final episode to use the We Can! opening. The anime adds Cracker's failed slash against Tankman, the pair glimpsing Sanji and Reiju through a mirror, and an extended departure with Yonji taunting Sanji. It also changes the manga sequence: Luffy deflects Honey Pretzel before absorbing Cracker, Sanji leaves after Cracker's defeat rather than before, and Katakuri is said to be en route rather than already arrived. Nyasha debuts, with new Gear 4 and Pretzel techniques.
