Special Edition! - Clash! Luffy vs. the King of Carbonation

Their fists collide with enough force that the rest of the crew feels the shockwave from the shoreline. While the Straw Hats press their fight, the captured Cidre Guild members admit they serve their leader only because they are enslaved, not loyal. Guarana and her flying squad swoop in as reinforcements, but Hancock petrifies the entire group, then dodges Guarana's twin blades of pressurized water with ease. Luffy keeps pace with Cidre's fizz-charged blows, inflating his body to launch the bounty hunter into a cliff. A bitter memory surfaces for Cidre: years earlier, Douglas Bullet had left him broken amid a ruined city. Rather than keep brawling outside, he orders a withdrawal into the factory to strap on his strongest equipment.

Luffy slips past the guards and pulls himself indoors, where Cidre dons spinning barrel gauntlets that smash the pirate through several walls. The rig hits hard yet barely dents Luffy, and it burns through its carbonated reserves quickly, forcing constant refills. Cidre eventually knocks Luffy outside and gloats about toppling every pirate for revenge and profit, but Luffy, unmoved by such hollow resolve, ends the duel with Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun. An invitation to the Pirates Festival drifts down to him. Elsewhere, Buena Festa scoffs at Cidre's failure and anticipates a fateful meeting between Luffy and Bullet. Freed from their chains, the guild members reunite, including with Caramel, and gift the crew countless barrels of cola.

This installment closes out the Cidre Guild Arc, and the guild itself is finished as a threat. Hancock's wanted poster makes a brief appearance, and Douglas Bullet debuts here in flashback and fantasy. After parting ways with Hancock, Luffy shares the invitation with his crew, and Robin reveals that this year's Expo features a race for Gol D. Roger's hidden treasure. Eager for the prize, the Straw Hats steer toward Delta Island alongside the rival crews of the Worst Generation, while Bullet warns that only a single survivor will emerge from the contest ahead.
