The Key to Freedom

Bursting through the tower wall, the Rocketman carries Kokoro, Chimney, and Gonbe along for the ride. Recalling how Tom once stood by Roger, Kokoro decides she will do the same for Luffy. The crash sends Spandam into a panic, and he orders CP9 to annihilate the intruders before seizing Robin and telling Lucci to cover him, unsheathing the sword Funkfreed as they depart.

The Franky Family erupts in cheers at the arrival, though Franky worries over the trio until he sees they only sport bloody noses. Climbing from the rubble, Luffy thanks Kokoro and waits for his crew to assemble before tearing off after Robin.

Hanging from a corner of the ceiling, Fukurou greets the pirates and dashes their hopes by revealing Robin is already being escorted away. He lays out that they must beat CP9 agents to win the keys for her seastone handcuffs, showing Chopper the metal that drains Devil Fruit users. A Gomu Gomu no Pistol misses as Fukurou dodges, taunts that he might not even carry the genuine key, and rises beyond reach with Geppou. When Nami suggests grabbing Robin first, he threatens to toss the keys into the waterfall and flees.

Sanji and Nami map out a plan that frees Luffy to dash ahead toward Lucci. The rest scatter through the tower: Franky goes for cola in the kitchen and finds Fukurou waiting, Sogeking stumbles on a sleeping Jabra with a key before him, Nami drops into the basement to meet a thunderously loud Kumadori, Sanji is drawn into Kalifa's room and takes her tea, and Zoro faces Kaku by a fireplace, telling him his blades already cry out for blood.

Crashing through its wall, the Rocketman delivers the Straw Hats, Franky, and the Shift Station trio inside the main tower. Spandam then turns CP9 loose to slaughter the crew and assigns Lucci to accompany him and his captive toward the Gates of Justice. It comes to light that the elephant power of the Zo Zo no Mi belongs to Funkfreed. The key system binding each agent to Robin's cuffs is laid out by Fukurou, and the crew engages CP9 in earnest. The cover advances the Miss Goldenweek arc, with freed Baroque Works women raiding the men's cells.
