Franky vs Fukurou

Below the tower, Luffy charges along the underwater route toward the Gates of Justice with Chimney and Gonbe in tow, just as the shrinking aftereffect of his Gear 3 wears off and he balloons back to full size. Deeper in, Spandam catches a faint noise and frets, while Rob Lucci calmly guesses the pirates have broken through a door, having been guided by the little girl he chose not to silence.

Elsewhere Franky trades blows with Fukurou, a foe who keeps bolting rather than standing his ground. When Franky's fuel runs thin he bolts for the kitchen, only to be cut off. The two settle into a childish exchange of insults between punches, each mocking the other's strikes, before they smash together through the kitchen wall.

They crash near a giant refrigerator just as Chopper bursts in alongside Kumadori. Chopper traps Kumadori in the fridge door and locks it shut. Franky begs the reindeer for cola to recharge, but Chopper keeps tossing him vegetable juice and tea, each swapping out Franky's personality and hair. Once Chopper finally lobs over real cola, Franky surges back to life and blasts Fukurou through several walls with a Strong Hammer.

Franky's running duel with Fukurou tears through the kitchen and rouses Chopper, who locks Kumadori inside the refrigerator. The fight establishes that cola is the genuine engine of Franky's strength, with other drinks warping both his temperament and his hairstyle into bizarre alter egos.

The chapter reveals an awkward downside to Gear 3, namely that Luffy briefly shrinks once the technique fades. It also confirms that cola, and cola alone, powers Franky, with substitutes such as vegetable juice and tea producing different moods entirely. The opening color page continues Miss Goldenweek's Operation: Meet Baroque Works, where her rainbow Colors Trap grants the fleeing agents one last parting gift.
