Keep That in Mind

Out in the lawless stretch of Sabaody, the Caribou Pirates have seized the surviving impostors and begin digging pits to bury them alive. Caribou confesses he only ever planned to gut the real crew from the inside and is enraged to have caught frauds instead, choking the false Sanji with his powers and absorbing Fake Sogeking's bazooka shot, which exposes him as a Logia. He orders the fakes interred, content that he has at least verified the genuine Luffy. Sentomaru, meanwhile, briefs his superiors on the crew's escape with a bound and senseless Demalo Black at his feet.

Along the shore, Rayleigh thinks back to the day he first met Gol D. Roger, a memory that reveals the hat now on Luffy's head once sat on the late Pirate King, and he muses that Luffy has moved one step closer to deserving it. Below the surface the crew gapes at the underwater scenery while Usopp and Chopper keep stopping Luffy and Zoro from grabbing fish. Sanji erupts into nosebleeds at the mere sight of Nami and ends up needing a transfusion. Franky finally accounts for the two years the Sunny stayed intact: after Hatchan and Duval were gravely wounded defending it, Bartholomew Kuma stepped in as its keeper, having been allowed by Vegapunk to slip one personal directive into his programming before his self was erased, an order to safeguard the vessel until a crew member came back. The chapter ends with the unsuspecting crew being shadowed by the Caribou Pirates.

Caribou is confirmed to wield a Logia power. Fake Franky and the masked Fake Sogeking both have their faces revealed at last, and Drip is given as the true name of the false Sanji. Nearly every recruited impostor was rounded up by the Marines, while the Caribou brothers evaded them much as the Supernovas had two years earlier. A youthful Roger appears for the first time, looking nearly identical to Luffy, and it comes out that he wore the very hat Shanks later handed the boy. Kuma's hidden order to shield the ship is disclosed, Chopper and Usopp are seen pummeling Luffy and Zoro the way Nami usually does, and Sanji's nosebleeds are now taken seriously as a real hazard. This opens the Fish-Man Island Arc.
