Douglas Bullet

Bullet is an enormous, heavily muscled man with broad shoulders, a wide chest, and blue-green eyes. His blonde hair is combed back into a cowlick at the crown, with the remainder gathered into a long, feathery ponytail trailing down his back, and tattoos mark his sizable left arm and hands. A black collared shirt studded with medals and insignia, several bearing the letters "GF," sits above a thick brown belt, black trousers, and boots, with headphones over his ears and white gloves on his hands. A great red scar runs from the left of his face down across his chest and upper arm. In his younger years he was smaller with cropped hair, growing larger and longer-haired later on, and he bore no scar at either stage.

Bullet is violent and combative in much the same mold as Kaidou, forever hunting tougher opponents to feed his appetite for battle. A childhood spent at war taught him to prize raw strength over everything, and he glories in the destruction his power lets him cause. Because Gol D. Roger alone ever beat him, Bullet equates the Pirate King's title with being the strongest alive and aims to claim it by killing the world's greatest pirates, the Worst Generation and the Emperors included, while still respecting those who surpass him. Repeated betrayals during his Galzforce days left him convinced that friendship is a liability, so he fixates on his own untouchable might; Roger's lesson that bonds make a person stronger fell on deaf ears. His laughter rings out as a distinctive "Kahahaha."

Bullet was born on a Grand Line island locked in endless war and abandoned by his parents as an infant, after which Galzburg's military, Galzforce, raised him as a disposable child soldier, handing him the title Douglas and dubbing him Bullet. Chasing the Medal awarded to the war's top performer, he was held back by jealous comrades, rounded them up, and seized the prize anyway, then claimed it year after year. At thirteen he devoured the Gasha Gasha no Mi, and by fourteen his exploits had nearly ended the war, only for his own side, including his father figure General Douglas Gray, to try to kill him over his dangerous strength. Bullet annihilated them all, leveling his entire homeland in the process.

At fifteen he challenged Gol D. Roger and tasted defeat for the first time. He attacked again and again, eventually joining the Roger Pirates as a challenger and earning the name Demon Heir, though doubts about ever surpassing his captain led him to quit the crew after a final loss. Following Roger's execution he rampaged across the seas until a Buster Call led by Sengoku and Garp, bolstered by pirates he had wronged, overwhelmed him and locked him in Level 6 of Impel Down. He trained there for over twenty years, escaping only when Marshall D. Teach's raid gave him the opening, after which he and Buena Festa schemed up the Pirates Festival.

At the festival Bullet crushed Usopp to retrieve an Eternal Pose to Laugh Tale, then took on the Worst Generation and awakened his fruit to raise a mountainous colossus from the wreckage of the island. He was finally brought down by Luffy, who fought alongside a host of allies that included Boa Hancock, Crocodile, Trafalgar Law, Sabo, Smoker, Rob Lucci, Buggy, and Usopp, ending the Demon Heir's bid for the Pirate King's throne.
