Ichimi

In public Ichimi keeps his identity behind a single-filter gas mask paired with a hoodie marked by the number one stitched onto the hood, a nod to the Japanese word ichi. Pull the hood back and a head of spiky black hair is revealed.

Beyond his steadfast devotion to Banjou, little has been established about what makes Ichimi tick.

Ichimi trailed Banjou to Anteiku along with Jiro and Sante, and after Kaneki accidentally knocked their leader out, the three explained Banjou's hopeless infatuation with Rize and his efforts to guide the 11th Ward's ghouls, voicing their resentment toward the Aogiri Tree members who had seized control there. Fighting under the Anti-Aogiri banner, he took part in the prison break, helping cut down a guard who tripped the alarm and staying behind with Banjou and Kaneki to hold off the Bin brothers so the others could flee. The group was recaptured by Yamori but freed by Anteiku amid the 11th Ward Battle, after which the trio joined Kaneki's group behind Banjou. During the raid on Kanou's laboratory they slipped in disguised as janitors to reach the Ghoul Restaurant, clashed with Gagi and Guge, and later fought the CCG. When Kaneki wounded Banjou, they tried to shield their old leader and were tossed aside. As Kaneki's group broke apart, they pledged to follow Banjou wherever he went, and in the years after they never wavered in that support, with Jiro eventually becoming Banjou's wife in a traditional ghoul wedding arranged by Tsukiyama. As a ghoul, Ichimi has strong physical ability and holds his own in hand-to-hand fighting alongside his siblings.
