Barry Kahn is introduced as the leading man in a Great Saiyaman movie being produced during the events of Dragon Ball Super. He is vain, arrogant, and obsessed with his celebrity status. When Gohan is brought onto the set as a stunt consultant and begins impressing the cast and crew with his natural abilities, Barry grows increasingly jealous.
Barry attempts to sabotage Gohan's marriage by photographing him in a compromising situation with his co-star Cocoa, then showing the images to Videl.
