Biography and Story Role

Buyon is a creature of the Jiggler species, kept as a secret weapon by General White on the fifth floor of Muscle Tower during the Red Ribbon Army Saga. He serves as both a guard and a last resort against anyone who manages to fight their way through the tower's other defenses.

When young Goku ascends through Muscle Tower to rescue the village elder, he encounters Buyon after General White drops him through a trap door. The enormous pink monster proves to be a uniquely frustrating opponent because his gelatinous body simply absorbs all of Goku's punches and kicks, bouncing them back harmlessly. Even the Kamehameha wave is deflected by Buyon's rubbery flesh.

Goku eventually discovers Buyon's weakness by kicking a hole in the tower wall, exposing the monster to the freezing cold of the Jingle Village climate. The frigid air causes Buyon's body to freeze solid, making him brittle. Goku then shatters the frozen Buyon with a single punch, defeating him for good.
