Biography and Story Role

Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy held a prominent position within the Luud Cult, overseeing its followers and enforcing obedience. He used the Para Brothers to lure Goku, Pan, and Trunks to Planet Luud, then attacked the group when they arrived.

In combat, the Cardinal wielded Mutchy's whip form at rapid speed. He managed to land a surprise hit on Trunks, knocking him down. Against Goku, he struggled to land blows until he closed the distance and used his Trick Shot ray gun technique. Despite these capabilities, the Cardinal proved far from durable. He was killed when his robot companion Leon exploded nearby.

In the original Japanese version, Cardinal Mutchy Mutchy and Mutchy the whip are separate entities, with the Cardinal serving as a host or puppet for the Machine Mutant. The Funimation dub blurred this distinction, treating Mutchy as the Cardinal's "true form." His name derives from the Japanese words for "whip" (muchi) and "carry" (motchi).
