The Brain in the Machine

Dr. Wheelo was once considered the greatest scientific mind on Earth, a genius whose research into biotechnology rivaled even that of Dr. Gero. When his body failed him, his loyal assistant Dr. Kochin preserved his brain within a gigantic robotic war machine, sealing the laboratory beneath a mountain of ice. Decades later, Dr. Kochin gathered the Dragon Balls and wished away the ice, freeing the fortress and its master. Dr. Wheelo, now little more than a brain encased in a towering mechanical body, fixated on finding the world's strongest warrior and claiming that body for himself. Initially believing Master Roshi still held that title, he kidnapped the old master and Bulma to study them. When he learned that Goku had long since surpassed Roshi, Dr. Wheelo turned his attention to the Saiyan.

Battle and Destruction

Dr. Wheelo's robotic body was armed with a devastating array of weapons, including energy cannons, electrical discharge systems, and a Planet Buster beam capable of destroying the Earth. His mechanical strength allowed him to trade blows with Goku, and his scientific mind made him a tactical combatant who analyzed his opponents' patterns mid-fight. However, his reliance on technology ultimately proved insufficient against Goku's Spirit Bomb, which overpowered his defenses and destroyed the mechanical body along with the brain it housed. Dr. Wheelo's story, while confined to a single film, explores the theme of intellect versus physical power and the lengths a brilliant mind will go to in order to escape the limitations of a failing body.
