Biography and Story Role

Fangs serves as the opening challenge for anyone who seeks a free prophecy from Fortuneteller Baba. When Goku and his friends cannot afford Baba's fee of 10 million Zeni, they must defeat all five of her warriors instead. Fangs is the first opponent they face.

During the battle, Krillin initially takes on Fangs but struggles against the vampire's unorthodox fighting style. Fangs can transform into a bat for aerial attacks and bites Krillin to drain his blood, weakening him considerably. He also employs Muay Thai techniques in addition to his supernatural abilities, making him a versatile combatant.

Krillin, Upa, and Puar work together to overcome Fangs. Puar transforms into a porcupine to counter Fangs's bat form, and the group exploits classic vampire weaknesses by using garlic. Despite being a creature of the night, Fangs is unique among vampires in that he can endure exposure to sunlight without harm. After his defeat, Yamcha steps up to face the next fighter, See-Through the Invisible Man.
