Role in the Story

Gregory is an anime-only character who resides on King Kai's tiny planet at the end of Snake Way. He works alongside Bubbles as one of King Kai's two companions, helping to maintain the small world and assisting with the training of visiting fighters.

When Goku arrives on King Kai's planet to prepare for the Saiyans' arrival on Earth, one of his training exercises involves catching Gregory with a heavy hammer while the sprite zips around at high speed. Gregory is smug and confident in his speed, taunting Goku throughout the chase. Eventually, Goku adapts to the planet's intense gravity and successfully strikes Gregory, completing that stage of his training.

Gregory continues to appear throughout Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super as a background presence on King Kai's planet. He shares King Kai's fate when Cell self-destructs and destroys the small world, killing everyone there. Despite remaining dead, Gregory continues to exist in the Other World alongside King Kai, maintaining their companionship into the events of Dragon Ball Super.
