Biography and Story Role

Haze Shenron, known as Ryanshinron in Japanese, is the Shadow Dragon born from the Two-Star Dragon Ball. He was created from the negative energy of the wish made by Upa to revive his father Bora, who had been killed by Mercenary Tao during the original Dragon Ball series. His birth date corresponds to May 12, Age 750.

Haze Shenron is widely considered the weakest of all seven Shadow Dragons in terms of direct combat ability. He is a rotund, frog-like dragon with green skin, a yellow underside, and black spikes protruding from various parts of his body. The Two-Star Ball sits embedded in his forehead.

Rather than relying on brute strength, Haze Shenron uses pollution and toxins as his primary weapon. He contaminates the environment around him, poisoning the water and air to weaken anyone who enters his territory. This environmental manipulation drains the strength of Goku and Pan when they first encounter him during the Shadow Dragon Saga, making the fight far more difficult than his low power level would suggest. Once the heroes figure out his trick and clear the pollution, he is defeated without much trouble.
